Welcome to my Camberley photo blog. I wasn’t born in the town but arrived with my husband in the early 1970s when he had a job just down the motorway – like many ‘incomers’ at that time. We didn’t expect to stay, but as the children arrived we realised that we had fallen on our feet and there was no need to try and find something that suited us better. The town is small but it has good transport links, excellent shops, schools and varied leisure facilities.
By the time the children left home we had joined a local civic society and it was this group that led me to blogging – I started one on gardening to give me a practical guide when helping out with the society’s move on to social media. Then I discovered that it was possible to just have a ‘photo’ one and a lightbulb lit up in my brain – an excellent use for all my past photos!
Of course, once I had started the old photographs went unregarded and I found the thrill of taking my camera out every day and just snapping at whatever took my fancy – and the excitement of feeding the photos into apps which transformed them in a myriad number of ways. I have to admit to getting hooked on blogging at this point……
So I hope you will forgive this rather indulgent personal view of a small town in Surrey, England – if I have made mistakes in my comments and commentaries, please let me know via firstname.lastname@example.org if you can.
