Camberley – a town of alleyways or unfinished architecture?

Alleyway to A30 Camberley

Camberley seems to have an almost medieval quantity of alleys – I am not sure if they were planned or just happen to be the dead land between different eras of development.

This one is between a 1930s run of shops and the start of The Mall, in Obelisk way.  It runs between the buildings, through a car-park, and slides between two more shops until it reaches the A30.  Poor thing – it doesn’t even have a name!
