A byeway from Camberley’s past – Field Lane Frimley

Frimley existed before Camberley was even a gleam in a Victorian entrepreneur’s eyes, or even the Army decided to move into the area.  Field Lane runs beside St Peter’s Church (Camberley’s original parish church) and then on to the Tomlinscote estate (with a stretch subsumed into the road structure).  Long ago I used to push a pram (remember them?) down this lane and it was always a welcome stretch after the stress of shopping with a baby who wanted a feed immediately and didn’t care who knew it…..
